Job Market Weak But Other Economic Indicators Appear Healthy

This audio debate is pretty dense, but you will have to know what the debate is all about, so why don't you listen and comment. Essentially it is between two economists over what could be termed as rather anemic job growth numbers reported for last month. One wants to point to this as evidence that the Bush tax cuts have stimulated the economy, that the TOTAL number of jobs is what matters. The other says that the number of jobs created doesn't even keep up with natural growth, and a falling unemployment rate indicates people just giving up. See you in class.
