Free to Choose Streaming video
Milton Friedman did a PBS Series in 1980, updated in 1990, called "Free to Choose". It is on streaming video from Idea Channel TV. I am going to post the link on the sidebar, and I hope that you get the chance to watch some of it. It is also a hoot to see the host of the series (hint- he holds a prominent position in California state government). I think the most impressive thing is that Milton just spoke exemporaneously, they put together the film, and then he wrote the book that it is "based" on. If you want to see a genius winging it before you spend 40K next year for the privelege, watch this. Thanks to Greg Mankiw for pointing me to this one. It is good. Blog to this only if you actually watch one of the segments.

I really liked getting a muscle-man's point of view on economics. Come to think of it, it's also a forgeign p.o.v.(and eastern european at that). Also, like you said in the intro to these films, it did seem like Friedman was speak extempouraneously and it was very interesting to watch him just improvise and talk off the top of his head. He does seem very smart, and as you know, I really enjoy, respect, and for some reason have a natural affinity for his ideas. How can you expect me to be a liberal when you feed us free-market propoganda as good as this??? haha. Well anyway, I enjoyed the videos, and will continue to read anything you put up about Friedman cause he is my boy.
