Last week in numbers

Two stories to listen to here- one on the Fed decision to hold interest rates steady, and another on the weak GDP numbers for the 3rd quarter. I would suggest that you pay attention to this, the topics are at the heart of this course.

To think that we suddenly fell into an "Economic slump" in the third quarter seems strange. I know that they say that the housing sector seems to be the main reason for the fall of GDP but still i don't think it should have such an impact that we are as low as 2003. To go from a inflation scare to a low in such a short time is very unusual and the fact that the intrest rate will remain constant should have an impact.
